As a Security Operations Engineer in the IT Operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our company’s security posture.

What you’ll be doing
- Monitor and maintain the company’s IT security infrastructure using Microsoft Defender and
other security tools. - Respond to and investigate security alerts, performing root cause analysis and remediation.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing evidence of controls and contributing to
audit readiness activities. - Collaborate with the compliance and risk teams to ensure IT operations meet regulatory
obligations. - Support vulnerability management efforts, including patching and system hardening.
- Assist in maintaining secure and efficient identity and access management practices,
including integration with M365 and Azure AD. - Contribute to incident response planning and participate in post-incident reviews.
- Continuously improve IT security posture by identifying gaps and implementing effective
solutions in line with best practices and regulatory guidance. - Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support computer workstations, laptops,
printers, and other IT equipment ensuring compliance with corporate security and
configuration standards
What you’ll bring to Suits Me
- Proven previous experience in an IT Operations and/or Security Engineer role, ideally within
a fintech or regulated financial services environment. - Hands-on experience managing Microsoft Defender and other security products.
- Strong understanding of security best practices across MacOS and Windows platforms.
- Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks such as , Cyber Essentials, or FCA
regulations. - Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to respond quickly to technical issues.
- Good documentation skills and an ability to work with non-technical stakeholders to explain
security concepts. - Knowledge of endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SimpleMDM).
- Experience with SIEM tools and log analysis.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
